Ride with Sven at the end and listen to him talk about his race and how pleased he is with his team and that he is no longer a rookie! Hear a song written just for Sven by Kyf Brewer of the band Barleyjuice.

PRETTY SLED DOGS SOLD OUT!!!! Please order from Amazon. Thank you.

Karen Ramstead with her pure bred team of Siberian Huskies of North Wapiti Kennels, has run Iditarod many times. This movie chronicles her training for the 2005 race and takes us right to the start line of the race.  The information she shares about training is excellent for anyone considering to run huskies. Original music by Kyf Brewer of the band Barleyjuice enhances this movie and helps portray the love of these dogs.

RUNNING WITH SPIRITS

Before Iditarod or the Yukon Quest, the premier race in Alaska was the All Alaska Sweepstakes. This race began in 1908, founded by the Nome Kennel Club.  This is the granddaddy of all races in Alaska. From Nome to Candle and back, this 300 mile race has many rules that are different from other races. No dropped dogs and handler support in checkpoints are among them. This video chronicles the 100th Anniversary of the first race. You'll be there for the musher meeting, the start and finish line and visit at two checkpoints. The people and activities in Nome are also highlighted. Enjoy original music from Kyf Brewer and Jim Parkinson of the band Barleyjuice. It's all about the dogs!!
